According to the collection Finding Aid document, this folder contains chapter correspondence and newsletters from Fort Lauderdale NOW in 1975.[1]

This folder shows a crucial shift in chapters in the area. The charter of East Broward NOW "was pulled by the state of Florida" in January 1975[2] because of censorship by Florida NOW.[3] Document 6 contains more information about this transition and the new chapter convening of Fort Lauderdale NOW in 1975.

An interesting anecdote involves a woman who was positively impacted by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission in 1975. In a newsletter editorial, Jean Wonser explains that she was given an interview with the Division of Corrections in St. Lucie County, Florida "as a result of ... charges filed" by the EEOC in the previous year.[4]
