Pensacola NOW was a chapter of Florida NOW located in North Florida.
Resignations in 1973
Around May 1973, internal conflicts between members in the organization led to changes in the leadership structure. Janice Blankenship and Margaret Fifield resigned from the chapter and Gertrude Keawe stepped in to serve as chapter President.
As explained by Getrude, the members of the chapter felt as though the fighting between the officers over "a myriad of real and mostly unreal issues" was off-putting and it would be better for the chapter for them to step down from their positions as officers. Both Lordahl and Morgan were more conservative members of the chapter and had disputes with Florida NOW's approach to ERA ratification.
